Background

Every year campaigns are made in the Netherlands against the unsafe use of fireworks by, among others, SIRE and Veilig Nederland.

Brief

Create an awareness campaign for young people against the unsafe use of fireworks, for which you can choose your own subject. We have chosen the topic: Distance.

Concept

We came up with the app Burst, where young people get exactly what they want to know, what is the new collection of fireworks, and what does it look like. In the app, you can experience the fireworks just like in real life.

If you choose one of the types of fireworks, you will be explained what exactly you have to do to see the fireworks. When you hold your phone the right distance from your face, you get the experience you've been waiting for. When you hold your phone at the wrong distance, you get to see what can happen to you if you don't distance yourself enough from the fireworks.

Insight

  • The target group is curious about the new collection of fireworks.
  • The target group thinks that will not happen to them.

Goals

  • Shock target group with the consequences.
  • Think of a smart way to target the target audience
    where they don't expect it.
